Akiem is an experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), Real Estate Investor and Amazon Best-Selling Author. A longtime resident of Hampton Roads, Akiem obtained his bachelor's degree in Accounting at Old Dominion University and master's degree in Accounting from Liberty University.

 

With over 10 years of professional accounting, audit, and tax experience Akiem has managed billions of dollars in government funding while helping hundreds of small businesses and personal tax clients strengthen their financial position. Akiem was named in the inaugural Old Dominion University 40 Under 40 Honoree class in 2021; hosts multiple networking events in the Hampton Roads area including the 757 Networking Meetup, The Rent Money Meetup, and the Black Business Festival. Akiem is also a dedicated advocate of financial literacy, speaking for countless schools, clubs and organizations all over Hampton Roads.
